Richard Schwindt

Professor Richard Schwindt holds a joint appointment in the Department of Economics and Faculty of Business Administration at the Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, Canada. He has authored or co-authored six books and numerous academic articles. Dr. Schwindt is a supervisor for the Applied Strategic Analysis Project. He has designed and delivered MBA courses for the Helsinki School of Economics and Business.

He currently teaches and researches in the areas of industrial economics, competition policy and anti-trust policy. He is particularly interested in the industrial organization of, and public policy bearing upon renewable resource industries, specifically forests, fish and farming. In 1992, he headed a provincial Commission of Inquiry into compensation for the appropriation of rights to natural resources.
