Dr. Aris Ananta is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies in Singapore. His main current research areas include: Inter-disciplinary study on Migration, Ageing, and Development in Southeast Asia, Poverty and Food in Southeast Asia, Indonesian Economy, Regional Issues in Riau Archipelago and Aceh (Indonesia), and Interdisciplinary studies on social and political issues in Indonesia.

His most recent publication is “Employment of Older Persons: Diversity across Nations and Sub-Nations in Southeast Asia”, in Older Persons in Southeast Asia: an Emerging Asset, edited by Evi Nurvidya Arifin and Aris Ananta – Singapore: Institute of Southeast Asian Studies.
