Abstract: |
Despite the constant threat of violence, the search for truth by journalists investigating foreign affairs prevails. Journalism is the vehicle to champion the right to freedom of speech and democracy; both imperative for global peace. With the help of government and non-government organizations, journalists will one day work and live without fear, uncovering the truth of global issues for the public. Speech to the Fifth Annual International Press Freedom Awards Dinner. Toronto, Ontario, November 13, 2002. |
