Abstract: |
The relationship between trade and human rights is not only conflicting, but also closely connecting to each other both historically and practically. The author believes that it is necessary to incorporate human rights into the WTO framework. She compares three options of incorporation, including amending Article 20 of GATT, Dispute Settlement Body taking human rights issues into consideration when applying and interpreting the WTO rules, and integrating human rights issues into interpretation of WTO rules, same as Doha TRIPS Declaration. The author states that, compared with the first two, the third option is more reasonable and practical. |
