Abstract: |
When the Journal was first published 25 years ago, its mandate was to inform and influence professionals in the addictions field through its coverage of issues of the day. Our goals today are the same, as we’ve reported on the growth of the harm reduction movement, the shift to briefer and more cost – effective treatment, and new drugs to treat alcoholism and heroin addiction over the past few years. Here, we wrap up a three part anniversary retrospective with a look at ongoing issues of the 1990s, and the hope that we can continue to deliver on our commitment to our readers. |
