Urban redevelopment in China’s major cities has led to the forced relocation of countless families, many under highly disadvantaged circumstances. This article offers a brief insight into how chronic discontent over these clearance projects demonstrates the inadequacy of legislation in the face of deficient enforcement and implementation. |
