Abstract: |
The author complains that Dutch unemployment law discriminated against her on the basis of her marital status. As a common-law spouse she was not eligible for the same medical insurance benefits as a married spouse, and as she cohabited with her partner who made more money than was allowed for her to claim unemployment benefits, she was not entitled to medical insurance through the unemployment program either. |
