Abstract: |
Ease of travel, nature of the disease process, availability of beds, ability to manipulate the referral ladder, and cost of health care may account for lack of availability/attempt for rural patients to seek health care services. There is suggestion that tertiary care in China occurs more commonly among rural patients than is the case in other developing nations. This article also provides a good statistical comparison between rural and urban health care in China. |
